Description:

This position requires the student to perform basic administrative duties to assist with the purpose of Guest Services. These duties include, but are not limited to, phone calls and emails relating to the scheduling of events on campus. The student will be responsible to schedule both on-campus and off-campus groups for the use of SUU's facilities through the Astra scheduling program. Some work will be required with QuickBooks regarding billing for events. Communication will be a large part of the job as the student will be communicating frequently with various departments and staff on campus.

Well organized; Detail oriented; Must be able to work with faculty, staff, student peers and community members; Quick learner; Pleasant; Must demonstrate good problem solving skills; Dependable; Good verbal and written communication skills; Must be able to take direction; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Professional mannerism and dress; Must have good grammar and spelling skills; Ability to see a project from start to finish; Able to work in a fast paced, often high stress office setting; Good time management skills; Must be able to multi-task and prioritize; Basic knowledge of campus facilities; Good phone skills; Must be able to maintain confidentiality; Familiar with gmail and other basic computer programs; Must be able to learn Astra scheduling program and basic QuickBooks; Must be able to meet deadlines.
